Alex Cohen is the lead radio and TV play-by-play broadcaster for the Iowa Cubs, Triple-A Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. He calls all 150 home and road games on AM 940 in Des Moines and select games on Marquee Sports Network and Bally Live.

Since 2022, he has also broadcasted select Chicago Cubs Spring Training games on both Marquee Sports Network and 670 The Score.

Because of his work with the Iowa Cubs, Marquee Sports Network and 670 The Score, Alex was named 2023 Ballpark Digest Broadcaster of the Year.

When not calling baseball games, Alex locally broadcasts select Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball and Softball games for Iowa State University on ESPN+. He has also filled in on Big Ten Network+ and Marquee Sports Network with their fall and winter sports programming.

Alex has been freelance broadcasting for the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) since 2015 and has called baseball games for them in five different countries.
